Trigo: Trigo Ratio
This video course on trigonometric ratios is designed to help students clearly understand sine, cosine, and tangent in a simple and engaging way.
Through step-by-step explanations, visual diagrams, and worked examples, students will learn how to identify the opposite, adjacent, and hypotenuse sides, and apply the TOA-CAH-SOH concept confidently.

Trigo Ratio - Introduction
In this video, students will be introduced to the trigonometry ratio:
- \(tan{A}=\frac{opp}{adj}\)
- \(cos{A}=\frac{adj}{hyp}\)
- \(sin{A}=\frac{opp}{hyp}\)
Trigo - Find Unknown Angle
In this video, you will be introduced to the concept of inverse trigonometric ratios: inverse sine, inverse cosine, and inverse tangent —which are used to find unknown angles in a right-angled triangle.
You will learn how to choose the correct ratio based on the sides given (opposite, adjacent, and hypotenuse) and then apply the corresponding inverse function to calculate the angle.
Through the worked example, you will also discover that although different ratios may be used depending on the information provided, they will all lead to the same angle value when applied correctly.
Trigo - Find Unknown Length
In this video, you will learn how to find the unknown sides \(x\) and \(y\) in a right-angled triangle using the cosine and sine ratios respectively. You will first be guided on how to correctly identify the sides of the triangle — opposite, adjacent and hypotenuse —based on the given angle. Then, you will learn how to form the correct trigonometric ratios: using cosine (cos) when working with the adjacent side and hypotenuse to find \(x\), and sine (sin) when working with the opposite side and hypotenuse to find \(y\).
Trigo - Example 1

- the value of r
Trigo - Example 2
- Calculate AD
- Calculate the angle BCD
