Standard Form Example 1

Express the following ordinary notation in standard form correct to 3 significant figures:

Standard Form Example 2

Evaluate the following without a calculator and give your answers in standard for
  1. \((2.4×10^5 )÷(4.8×10^{−3})\)
  2. \(3.7×10^{−4}−1.6×10^{−5}\)

Standard Form Example 3

Given that \(𝑝=9.25×10^{−99}\) and \(𝑞=4.76×10^{−96}\) , express in standard form
  1. \(\frac{𝑞}{𝑝}\)
